Toe nail fungus problems can be an annoying condition to treat. Some home remedies can do well, some can do better, some do nothing, and medications can be so strong you have to monitor your liver while you take them. Here are 3 things not to do while you're treating your fungus, as well as prevent them.
1. Sharing is Caring Right?
Sure it is, but if you care for your toenails I wouldn't advise you to share your shoes with someone else. You're unaware of what they may have living in their shoe department, so the best thing would be not to try and find out. This may seem like an obvious tip, but the reason many people fail to abide by it? I'm not sure
2. Body Moisture - What's Above, is Also Below
The same way you would take your shirt off after a hard game of tennis, baseball, or basketball, take your shoes off along with them. It can be difficult to tell if your feet are sweating or not so a good way to tell, is if your upper body is already moist. Feet don't typically get hot as your head, but when your head begins to sweat, don't leave your shoes on too long. Fungi love dark and moist places to live.
3. Nail Trimming
Avoid cutting your nails too short. When they're too short they tend to crack easily and jam frequently. This creates another perfect environment for toe nail fungi to grow and live comfortably.
